- Reproductive Sovereignty -

*Important Note*

For thousands of years, people have managed their fertility outcomes with herbs, & other assisting tools, though efficacy varies widely & backup options may be critical. Self-education is an essential part of building relationships with plant allies, & is especially important for safer practices in reproductive sovereignty. Since there is a short window of time where herbs have shown to be more effective, knowing our own menstrual cycle is essential for safer usage. Many may want to consider clinical, or pharmaceutical, options due to gestational age, uncertainties around one's current menstrual cycle, herbal contraindications & side effects, inability to maintain a regular herbal regimen, health conditions that may interfere with safer usage, lack of privacy/in-home safety, or any other barriers that make it harder to self-manage pregnancy outcomes.

Navigating self-managed options can be further challenging under state repression, anti-abortion legislation, the policing of pregnant people's bodies, the incarceration of those who self-manage outside of the unjust laws, all of which especially impact marginalized & over policed communities. Anti-abortion efforts have passed bounty hunter type laws that can lead to the reporting of those seeking an abortion, as well as those who assist in aiding their abortion access. Medical staff have been known to report to police & cause the incarceration of patients needing healthcare after self-managed pregnancy release. Seeking needed medical aftercare may be more safely navigated for those who experience a "spontaneous miscarriage." To maintain safety, & bodily autonomy, please consider only trusting those who are worthy of it, use encrypted communication apps with those offering support, & consider adopting digital security practices that protect abortion advocacy communities.

Take deep care of yourself & know that you are not alone <3
